This type of trap is something amateur models fall for ALL THE TIME….. DO NOT believe everything you see!!!!!!!
Know the signs of a SCAM when you see it!!!!!
1) I got an email from “Massart Photography” with a “bs”@gmail .com email. Most REAL companies will have an info @theirwebsitename. com.
2) The “CEO” of most companies do not reach out to you directly. If the company is large enough they will have a marketing or social media director.
3) “A sales commercial” sales of what? This is a photography company reaching out…. what are you selling?
4) NOTE no location listed
5) ENGLISHHHHHH – half of these sentences don’t use correct grammar, spelling, or use of words. This more than likely means it’s someone overseas pretending to know what they’re talking about.
6) Payment – no company will pay you anything up front. NO COMPANY. What these scammers will do is send you a large check and tell you to cash it. They check will be fake… once you cash it they’ll ask you to send them back some of it as makeup or wardrobe costs. REAL COMPANIES COVER MAKEUP AND WARDROBE!!!! They just want your money and they will screw you over.
7) Notice they also have no phone number or website attached to the email. This gives you NO clue who these people are. Clearly not a real company.
8 ) Lets be real…. no company will pay a model THAT much money with no experience. I’ve worked with BIG NAME brands and even THEY don’t pay this much…… if it’s too good to be true it probably is!!!!!!!
Stay safe out there models. We live in a time where an email like this could end with your photos on the black market and meeting up with the “photographer” could make you a victim of human trafficking. Do not send your photos to people unless you know they’re reputable.
The ONLY way to stop this is to CALL PEOPLE OUT!!!!! Screenshot and share this type of information with others! See my response below!
